Dr Alice Roueché
Alice Roueché is a Consultant General Paediatrician at Evelina London Children's Hospital. She is passionate about improving care for children and young people and eradicating avoidable harm in our healthcare systems.
Alice has a keen interest in medical education and sees effective training in patient safety and quality improvement as fundamental to developing a safe and effective workforce. She has worked on improving postgraduate medical education in London and led a Deanery-wide programme to support trainee led quality improvement. She is co-lead of the RCPCH QI Education Programme. Alice has worked with many organisations including the FMLM, RCP, Health Foundation and NHS England to promote QI education, particularly for frontline healthcare workers. She was trainee representative on the NHS England Paediatric Prescribing Expert Group.
Much of this QI work has highlighted the challenge of safe prescribing. Many QI projects look at ways to address this but are often never published or shared. Alice believes that by sharing the learning from the many excellent QI projects that are already underway, as well as providing resources and inspiration for new projects, we can develop a learning network that can promote and support improvement in paediatric medication safety and reduce avoidable harm for children.
